I haven't updated you all on my life in a while so I will update you all now. Last week I started going to Lewis Central full time. I was home-schooled until third grade, and since then I have been at Heartland on and off, so this has been a HUGE change. Of course, things are nicer there because they have more money, but I'm starting to miss the asbestos tape on the gym stage. It's kind of awkward coming into a school at the beginning of the third trimester because everyone's circles are pretty much set. But so far I like it pretty well. I like my classes (except P.E.-- I HATE P.E.) as well as one can. I can get by with being by myself well enough in my classes, but lunch is the hardest place in which to be alone. So one of my friends from my Spanish class that I took first tri and a couple of his friends have been sitting with me because "they don't want to sit with a certain person at their previous table". But still, it's better than eating by myself. I'm not too clear as to WHY my mom enrolled me at LC, but I'm just going with it. It's kind of an interesting new experience. The bathrooms are too, if not equally or more so.
I'm taking English, Art, World History, "Team Activities", Intro to Business, and Biology. I say "Team Activities" because they are not team activities. We've been playing volleyball for the past week, but no one is really playing as a team. Everything is unorganized. I hate disorganization. We get about eight people on a team going against eight or nine people and no one knows where to rotate to, nor do they keep the rules. I find that last part funny because on the first day we took a pre-test (yes, a pre-test in P.E.) on the rules of different games. I think they are doing this to fail us. I am also not an artsy person, so it will be interesting to see how this class turns out. My other classes are things that I am good at, so I'm not worried about them.
I'm not sure if I want to do any extra-curricular activities this late in the year. My friend really wants me to join band and play the tenor sax. I would love to play the sax, but I don't want to join this late in teh year, nor do I know how to play the tenor sax, let alone have one. He took me to see the band teacher, and he said they they did need a tenor sax. Also, when would I have time to be in band? These are the things that have been plaguing me.
That has been the biggest thing in my life lately. In case you didn't see on Facebook, I did get accepted to the internship in Chicago this summer! So I'm very excited about that. Thank you all for your prayers on that, by the way. And this has been your semi- regular blog by me.
